Poland - The Ally John Kerry Doesn't Want?

Euroblogger Nelson Archer offers an interesting Poland-centric perspective on Kerry's slight regard for Poland demonstrated in last Thursday's debate. After running through a brief history of Poland's long struggle for independence, continually undercut by betrayal and partition, Archer asks:

"Is Kerry’s deliberate omission of Poland from the list of US allies a sign that she will be betrayed again? "
I suppose this could seem petty from a U. S. perspective. But read Archer's post and ask yourself whether Poles might have good reasons to be wary of such signs.

Just another anecdote demonstrating the danger of Kerry insulting our allies to score political points - something we all have to live with post election no matter who wins.
